It tells the story of three very different families who struggle to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002–present). I was surprised that the series was rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining that they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is mysterious fun that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it too funny and entertaining with a special Liz Feldman tone that I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performance. I wasn’t convinced by Ray Romano at first because of my own prejudices (for a lifetime I was unable to separate him from «Everyone Loves Raymond»), but that wore off pretty quickly. All of the various characters have their own sub-stories that create a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty engrossed in the story, despite having resolved the main situation very early on. I’m not mad about it, though. I’d love to see more of this series and really hope there’s a second season. Don’t waste time scrolling endlessly—here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
